
So proud it actually works. What this patch does is that you wave your mouse cursor around that grey square to spatialize the sound coming from 4 speakers at the 4 corners. The sound from the 4 speakers will follow your mouse. E.g. if your mouse cursor is at the upper left corner, the speaker at that corner will be loudest, and the rest much softer. If your mouse cursor is at the centre, then the volume of all 4 speakers are the same. I spent a few hours doing this, including coming up with the mathematical algorithms and piecing bits and pieces of what I know into one patch. The ability to execute this patch is the result of about a month studying the visual programming language of Pure Data. This patch is meant for controlling the spatialization of sound for a live theatre performance.
