I have started learning about the Android development environment. It is amazing how easy it is to access learning materials and download all the free software to start experimenting – thanks to the openness of the Android platform. I am using Eclipse with the Android Development Tools (ADT) plugin, together with the Android Software Development Kits (SDK) for the various versions of the Android OS. All I need to do is to plug my Samsung S3 to my computer and I can see the results of my program immediately. It is very developer friendly indeed.
