8 Hours in Brooklyn from Variable on Vimeo.
Nice use of high speed cameras and slow motion effects to capture how some inhabitants of Brooklyn live out the subliminal spaces within the city.
The Lion City from Keith Loutit on Vimeo.
Nice use of tilt shift perspective and stop motion animation showing the meticulously-planned cityscapes of Singapore.
Both videos capture an aspect of the city, the former through its people and the second through its physical space. Brooklyn is depicted to be gritty and edgy, yet dynamic and full of life. Singapore is depicted to be orderly, clean and efficient. What an interesting contrast. Which would you prefer?
