Description:
Nov 2019
A series of interactive data sculptures that converted environmental data collected by Punggol residents using hobby sensors into light and sound art installations. A commission by the National Arts Council for the Arts in your Neighbourhood community art engagement programme.
I was the tech consultant and helped design and implement the technology behind the project. We used the Teensy 3.2 microcontroller as the “brains”, the Teensy audio shield for sound and the FastLed library and 24V neon flex LEDs for the lights. For software, we used the Arduino platform and the Microsoft Visual Studio Code IDE.
